Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken drumsticks Provides juiciness and flavor, perfect for barbecue.
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt Enhances flavor with a savory touch.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds a warm aroma and depth to the seasoning.
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce A sweet and tangy coating that delivers that backyard cookout taste.
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard Adds tanginess and helps balance the sweetness of the BBQ sauce.

Method

Preparation
  1. Sprinkle the chicken drumsticks with seasoning salt and garlic powder.
  2. Cover the seasoned chicken and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or as long as overnight.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, mustard, and about 2 tablespoons of water to thin it out.
Cooking
  1. Heat your outdoor grill to medium heat, then oil the grates and reduce heat to low.
  2. Grill the chicken, covered, turning often to prevent burning, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through in the center, about 18 to 20 minutes.
  3. Brush the BBQ sauce mixture evenly over the chicken, cooking for another 2 minutes and turning a few times until golden, being careful not to burn.
Serving
  1. Ensure that the internal temperature reaches 180°F for the juiciest results before serving.

Notes

Longer marination enhances flavor, so overnight is ideal. Always use a meat thermometer to monitor doneness.
