Wet Ingredients
  • 2 medium Bananas Ripe, for sweetness and moisture.
  • 1 large Egg Acts as a binder.
  • 1/4 cup Almond butter Adds creaminess.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract For depth of flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Coconut oil Keeps donuts moist.
  • 1/4 cup Maple syrup Natural sweetener.
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups Almond flour Gluten-free option.
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder Essential for leavening.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Adds warmth and spice.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Balances sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup Coconut sugar Healthier sweetener.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with cooking spray.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large bowl until completely smooth.
  3. Whisk in the egg, almond butter, vanilla, coconut oil, and maple syrup until well combined.
  4. Fold in the almond flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and coconut sugar until just combined.
Baking
  1. Spoon the batter evenly into the greased molds, filling each about 2/3 full.
  2. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Let the donuts cool before glazing.
Glazing (Optional)
  1. Blend coconut sugar in a high-speed blender until powdered.
  2. Mix the powdered sugar with some milk until smooth and thick.
  3. Dip the tops of the donuts into the glaze and place them on a wire rack to set.

Notes

Enjoy the donuts warm or topped with almond butter or a light glaze. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
