Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Spray a baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into 1/2 inch rounds.

- In a pan, melt the butter together with the brown sugar, granulated sugar, orange or pineapple juice, bourbon, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
Combining Ingredients
- Pour the butter mixture over the sliced sweet potatoes in the baking dish, ensuring even coverage.
Baking
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove from the oven, and optionally sprinkle the nuts and marshmallows on top.
- Return the dish to the oven uncovered for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown.
Serving
- Optionally, garnish with fresh sage before serving.
