Preparation
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 320°F (160°C) and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Rub sea salt and black pepper on the outside and under the skin of the chicken.
- In a small bowl, combine Dijon mustard, unsalted butter, chopped thyme, parsley, and minced garlic.
- Rub the mustard mixture all over the chicken, inside and out.
- Stuff the chicken cavity with 4 peeled garlic cloves.
Cooking
- Place the chicken upside down in the Air Fryer basket and roast for 30 minutes.
- Carefully turn the chicken to roast on the other side for an additional 20 minutes.
- Remove the basket, drizzle honey over the chicken, and gently brush it.
- Return the basket to the Air Fryer and roast for another 10-15 minutes until crispy and golden.
- Open the Air Fryer and let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.
Serving
- Serve with your favorite side dish and enjoy the pan juices from the Air Fryer.
Notes
Allow the chicken to come to room temperature before cooking for more even cooking. Try different herbs and marinades based on your taste preferences. Always check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C) at the thickest part.
