Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring chicken to room temperature by removing it from the refrigerator about 20 minutes before cooking.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F.
  3. In a small bowl, combine black pepper, Kosher salt, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and oregano.
  4. Sprinkle the herbs and spice mixture over the chicken and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Drizzle the avocado oil over the chicken thighs and toss again to coat.
Cooking
  1. Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket with the skin side down.
  2. Cook for 20-22 minutes, turning the thighs halfway through cooking, until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
Serving
  1. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
